Poppyseed Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup oil
  • 1/8 cup melted butter
  • 2 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 cups flour. sifted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 1/2 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine oil, melted butter, sugar, sifted flour, salt and baking powder and set aside. In a large bowl, beat 3 eggs well. Add flour mixture to egg mixture alternately with milk. Add vanilla and poppy seeds. Turn into two greased and floured loaf pans. Bake one hour.
