Thanksgiving Advent Calendar
Create a calendar to list what your family is thankful for, and count the days to your holiday feast at the same time.
Don't be daunted by this project: it's easy! (If the thought of cutting a piece of plywood and spray painting is overwhelming, substitute a square of cork board and tacks).
Supplies
1 piece of plywood
brown spray paint (matte finish)
28 aluminum tacks (I chose tacks with a more rustic look, and purchased them at Home Depot)
shipping tags (available at any office supply store)
leaf stickers in fall colors (I used Martha Stewart stickers, available at WalMart)
brown fine point Sharpie pen
Instructions
- Apply two coats of spray paint to the plywood board. Let dry.
- Evenly space the tacks into four rows of seven across, and hammer them into the board.
- Remove the strings from the shipping tags, and place a sticker at the bottom of each tag.
- Attach the tags.
- Each day, write down one thing your family is thankful for.
